Tear-Free Chunky Tomato Salsa (Pico de Gallo Estadounidense)
In Latin America, chunky salsa uses fresh ingredients. However, I dislike garlic and onions unless they are pureed with other ingredients, or are in powdered form, so this is an Americanized version of chunky salsa. Why tear-free? You don’t have to chop onions!
Roma tomatoes 4 medium, washed, stemmed, and diced
Onion powder 1 tbsp
Garlic powder 1/2 tsp
Cilantro 1/2 cup, coarsely chopped
Lime zest 2 tbsp
1. Thoroughly mix all ingredients.
2. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
