Beginning of the semester, so just quick posts for a while. The second photo shows the sauce served with sausage (or you can use vegan sausage) and tostones.
Tomato Sauce with Bayleaf, Marjoram, & Thyme (Salsa Para Birria)
Plain (unseasoned) tomato sauce 16 oz.
White onion 1, peeled
Garlic 3 cloves, peeled
Bay leaf 1 leaf
Ground oregano 1 1/2 tsp
Ground marjoram 2 tsp
Ground thyme 1/2 tsp
Ground cumin 1/4 tsp
Red wine vinegar 2 tbsp
1. In a blender, blend all ingredients.
2. Cook sauce for 10 minutes on medium heat, and serve warm.
